How Do You Train with Focus Mitts?
Training with focus mitts is a great way to enhance your striking skills and improve your overall technique. Here's how I like to train with focus mitts:

1. Warm up: Start by doing some light jogging or jumping jacks to get your body warmed up and ready for training.
2. Choose your focus mitt partner: Find someone who has some experience holding focus mitts and is willing to work with you.
3. Get into your stance: Stand in your fighting stance and hold your hands up in front of your face.
4. Start with the basics: Begin by throwing basic punches such as jabs, crosses, hooks, and uppercuts. Your partner will call out which punch to throw, and you should aim for the mitts.
5. Work on combinations: Once you're comfortable throwing one punch at a time, start working on different combinations. For example, you could throw a jab-cross-hook combination or a cross-hook-uppercut combination.
6. Focus on defense: Along with striking, you should also work on your defense. Your partner can throw punches at you while you practice blocking and slipping.
7. Increase speed and power: As you become more comfortable with the basics, you can start increasing your speed and power. Remember to always have good form and technique, even when you're going all out.
